Athabasca University
I have recently started my Masters of Health Studies. This program will give me the skills to discern emerging trends and provide leadership to health systems and organizations.
2011-2014
MacEwan University
Completed a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Psychology and Minor in Business. This program gave me foundational knowledge of mental health and it's impact on our physical well being.
2007-2010
St. Lawrence College
Completed a Behavioural Science Technology Diploma which included 1100 hours of field placements. These were completed at a Children's hospital in the Child Life Unit, Family Services, and Public Schools. It provided knowledge of human behaviour and how to assist people in changing unwanted behaviour.
Work Experience
Ethics Officer
As an Ethics Officer with the Health Research Ethics Board of Alberta I assist in reviewing health research involving human participants. Ensuring ethical treatment of participants and maintaining participant privacy are two of our main goals.
Emotional Behavioural Specialist
Supported staff and students at 5 locations across the Edmonton Catholic School Board with tracking, planning and implementation of behavioural plans.
Support and Mentoring Coordinator
Supported 8 children in grades 4-6 in an Early Years Specialized Program that targeted acute behavioural issues in the Parkland District School Board.
Family and Youth Resiliency Worker
This position involved many different aspects of social work. I conducted observations and functional assessments, developed therapeutic relationships with youth and implemented programming to reach specific goals. This position taught me the power of advocacy.
Activities Instructor
Assisted in running a program at Selkirk Mental Health Centre called the Vocational Incentive Program. This program assisted patients in gaining employable skills to assist them in reintegrating successfully into their communities.
Rehab Aide
Visited clients in their homes to assist them in working through their Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy goals. I implemented client specific programs, assisted with community outings and charted progress to show client progress, behaviour patterns or activities completed.
Training & Conferences
Attended the Society of Clinical Research Associates conference on Pediatric Clinical Trials
This conference offered valuable insights into pediatric research, emphasizing practical strategies, and fostering collaboration.
A highlight of my time there was learning about the Clinical Trial about Duchenne muscular dystrophy as this study went from a first in human trial to approval for use and is now providing a cure for the condition. The research done on this project also led to additional new born testing in several states to identify if a child had Duchene as early intervention has better outcomes.

Co- Hosted the first Canadian Ethics Collaboration Conference
Banff, Alberta, Canada. September 6-7 2023.
The Health Research Ethics Board of Alberta hosted a two day conference with speakers from across Canada presenting on National research ethics projects and objectives.
Tri Council Policy Statement 2 Certificate
Completed the 9 module course regarding ethical guidance that applies to all research involving human participants.
International Council for Harmonization- Good Clinical Practices (ICH-GCP)
Completed the course through CITI Program regarding a standardized approach to acceptance of clinical trial data.
Part C Division 5 of the Food and Drugs Act
Completed the course through CITI Program regarding the conduct of clinical trials involving drugs in human participants.
